Shop Manager

About the role

We’re hiring shop managers across our 10 Midas locations in Wayne, Oakland and Washtenaw counties. This is a run-your-own-shop role at a family-run group — you’ll have real authority over your store and real support behind you.

What you’ll do

• Lead and schedule a team of technicians and service advisors
• Own your shop’s sales, gross profit and customer satisfaction numbers
• Coach and develop your team — hiring, training and performance
• Keep the shop running safely, cleanly and on time
• Resolve customer concerns and protect the shop’s reputation

What we’re looking for

• Automotive service management or assistant manager experience preferred
• Proven ability to lead a team and hit sales and service targets
• Strong sales skills — you will sell work yourself and coach your advisors to sell well
• Strong communication skills with both customers and staff
• Comfort with shop management software and reporting
• Valid driver’s license
• Strong personal sales skills — you can work the drive, present a repair plan and close it, and coach your advisors to do the same
